The von Jagow family briefly owned the property between 1825 and 1828, after which Heinrich Ferdinand von Helldorff acquired it, and the von Helldorff family remained influential until the estate was expropriated in 1945.
Following the departure of the von Helldorff family in April 1945, the estate was looted, and since then, the building has served various purposes, bearing witness to the tumultuous history of the region.
