PORTICO Lumen is a gallery inspired by the work of Alexander Duncker, a 19th-century Berlin-based publisher whose collection of 960 lithographic views of Prussian country residences remains an important visual record of the period. Individual photographic views of castles, manor houses and other historic buildings are published with short accompanying texts, alongside notable places that no longer exist, featured under the Lost Portico label.
Unless expressly linked or marked otherwise, the places shown here are not offered for sale and are presented primarily for inspiration. Sellers may, however, link property listings to a PORTICO Lumen feature, providing prospective buyers with additional context and increasing the listing’s visibility.
