Rumanová Country House is located in the western part of Slovakia, just 160 km from Vienna, 80 km from Bratislava, 15 km from Nitra, and 8 km from the motorway.
After its acquisition, the building underwent an extensive renovation. The roof, gutters, chimneys, and the entire structural framework – from the basement up to the top floor – were reinforced with solid construction techniques. Wooden lintels around doors and windows were replaced with concrete ones, and all windows, including entrance doors, were reinstalled according to traditional construction methods. The overall renovation was designed by an architect as part of the "Living in Style in a Castle" project.
The basement is ideally suited for use as a wine cellar, while the entire ground floor features vaulted ceilings. According to the original plans, there were provisions for a communal kitchen, a dining area, a lounge with a fireplace, a reception area, and two separate restrooms. On the opposite side, five large rooms with vaulted ceilings and connections for fireplaces were also planned.
At the centre of the building, a grand staircase leads to the upper floor, where three smaller apartments and three large halls were designed. There is also potential for further development into the attic space. The completion of the property was discontinued due to new investment opportunities in a hotel project in Austria.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the many possibilities for utilising this property. With a total living space of 1,200 m², it offers virtually limitless potential for a variety of purposes.
