A renovated 17th-century country house offering approximately 97 m² of living space, set in an elevated position on 2.43 hectares. The property includes a garage, private woodland and a well. Known as the Ostal, the house is secluded in the Bouriane, 6 km from Gourdon, on the border between Lot and Périgord.

History and Architecture

Gourdon originated as a medieval fortress built on a rocky spur. Prehistoric traces from the Upper Paleolithic – including the Cougnac caves – testify to even earlier settlements. The Quercy region is known for its elevated houses, called Ostal. Typical 17th-century features include stone exterior staircases, covered terraces, gabled roofs with dormer windows and circular “ox-eye” windows, which were historically used to avoid window taxes.

The House

The country house is quietly and privately situated. The living space of approximately 97 m² is spread over three levels: a 25 m² living room, a kitchen with dining area, and three bedrooms. A separate outbuilding provides an additional 30 m² of usable space.

The 2.43-hectare estate includes private woodland, fruit trees and a well. Connections to the municipal water supply and fibre-optic broadband are available.
