The neoclassical country house, dating from the fourth quarter of the 19th century, is built on a long rectangular plan. The building layout includes the main block (with a rectangular portico on the facade axis and polygonal and rectangular risalits on the rear elevation), a ballroom wing (to the northeast) and a polygonal four-storey tower (to the southwest), topped with a polygonal roof resembling a lantern. A wide terrace with steps adjoins the main block on the southeast side. The first floor features three large rectangular windows with stained glass.

The ground-floor interiors follow a double-tract layout with enfilade connections between rooms. The central part of the house is occupied by the so-called grand hall, the most important room of the residence, which connects to the representative chambers and salons. The interiors retain a rich artistic decoration. Highlights include the grand hall, the ballroom and the first-floor salons, all adorned with ornate panelling and stucco work. Several rooms retain original fireplaces.

The Żelmowo estate comprises the country house, two parks and a group of residential and farm buildings. The main house is surrounded by landscaped parkland, while the southwest side opens onto former parkland now classified as wasteland. The immediate palace park is enclosed on the east and south sides by a high stone wall and a rural road. A second landscape park, enclosed by a low stone wall, lies to the south of the estate, opposite the main rural road. Of particular interest is the farm complex, including barns, a sheepfold, storage buildings and a distillery.

After renovation and adaptation, the estate is ideally suited for use as a hotel and conference centre.
