Dąbroszyn Palace (Pałac w Dąbroszynie) is a manor house located in the Lubusz Land near Kostrzyn nad Odrą, approximately 5 km from the German border. Originally constructed in the Baroque style in 1780, the building was extended around 1850. Its current Neo-Gothic appearance is the work of the Berlin architect Georg Friedrich Hitzig.
The three-storey building is designed on a rectangular floor plan, topped by a flat hipped roof featuring a perimeter battlement and decorative finials at the corners. The garden facade includes a central pillared portico with an adjacent terrace. The exterior is defined by regularly arranged window axes, each finished with decorative frames and lintels.
Significant past owners include Adam Hans von Schöning and the von Wreech, von Dönhoff and von Schwerin families; the latter held the property until the end of the Second World War. King Frederick II of Prussia was a frequent guest at the estate.
The palace has been owned by the Municipality of Witnica since the 1990s and has seen only sporadic use since that time. Internally, numerous historical features from various eras remain intact, including Baroque ceilings, fireplaces, wood panelling, Corinthian columns and Neoclassical decorative elements.
Development potential
Under the current land-use plan, the property is not designated for a specific purpose. Existing planning conditions permit development for administration, retail, culture, education, catering or tourism, supplemented by residential use. The sale includes both the palace building and the surrounding parkland.
Heritage status
The estate is a registered monument of the Lubusz Voivodeship. Due to its protected status, a reduction of up to 50% on the final bid price may be applicable.
