History
The first historical mention of Smoszewo dates to 1294, when it belonged to the Masovian Voivode Jan of the Nałęcz coat of arms. From the late 17th century, the estate was held by families connected to the courts of Kings Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki and Jan III Sobieski. According to local tradition, Wiśniowiecki planted trees in the park himself, and Jan III dined in the garden while hunting in what is today the Kampinos Forest.
The building is currently not subject to heritage conservation supervision, which allows greater flexibility for modifications.
