History
The first documented mention of Smoszewo dates back to 1294. The estate then belonged to the Masovian Voivode Jan of the Nałęcz family. Since the late 17th century, the estate was owned by families associated with the courts of the Polish kings Michał Korybut Wiśniowiecki and John III Sobieski. According to tradition, Wiśniowiecki planted trees in the park, while Sobieski stopped here during his hunts in what is now the Kampinos area.
The manor house received its present form during the interwar period in the then popular "Styl dworkowy", which orientates itself on the architecture of older noble residences. The building is not listed, which allows for conversions without heritage regulations.
