Borromean Islands: Historic house on Isola dei Pescatori

In the well-known Borromean Islands on Lake Maggiore, a historic villa is for sale on Isola dei Pescatori. Only the interior finishing remains; all materials for bathrooms, floors, and overall interior design can be freely chosen. 

The house spans four floors, all served by an elevator. Each room is equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning. 

The ground floor includes a spacious living area with access to a large lakefront terrace, an open kitchen, a bathroom, and access to the elevator. The first floor features two bedrooms with private bathrooms. The second floor has three additional bedrooms and a bathroom, while the top floor contains two more bedrooms with private bathrooms. On this level, the ceilings are sloped but very high, providing generous headroom. 

The garden is small and flat, which makes it easy to maintain, and it offers clear views of the lake. A public beach with a pier and a private harbor below are accessible via a private staircase.

The building has been fully renovated, with all systems updated. Air conditioning and effective insulation with soundproofing contribute to the villa’s comfort and functionality.

ISOLA DEI PESCATORI
The small former fishing island, located opposite Isola Bella, is known for its multi-story fishermen’s houses and winding streets. As of August 2023, around 60 residents live on the island permanently. From May to September, the island is more active during the day, while evenings remain quiet. Visitors will find several restaurants with terraces and two small hotels. The northern part of the island features a small promontory with swimming opportunities and views across the lake.

A notable landmark on the island is the tower of the San Vittore Parish Church.
