The Ham House in London
Ham House is a typical and also extraordinary English manor, which was originally built for knight marshal sir Thomas Vavasour at the beginning of the 17th century.
It's style can be very simplified summed up as a mixture of various architectural trends from other european countries like baroque in germany, italian & french renaissance and palladianism. If any art historian wants to explain that style called "stuart architecture" in detail: feel free to use all characters available in the comments.
The interior is dominated by a spacious entrance hall with a surrounding gallery. Much of the historic interior has been preserved, including countless wall coverings in all kinds of materials such as leather, damask or silk.
As an English classic with richly stocked gardens, Ham House was of course several times place for film and television productions. It is located in London's district "London Borough of Richmond upon Thames", open to the public and is managed by the National Trust. A true british
