Warsaw Palaces: Villa Szuster

The Szuster Palace in Warsaw Mokotów is a historicist villa on an irregular ground plan, built in 1772 for the magnate Izabela Lubomirska, which came into the possession of the Warsaw publisher Franciszek Szuster in 1845. The villa was rebuilt several times until the end of the 19th century. Today, the facade of the north and west sides show mostly neo-Gothic forms created around 1830, while the south and east sides were later remodeled in the Neo-Renaissance style.
The reconstruction of the Villa, which was burned out during the Second World War, did not take place until the 1960s. It is now the property of the Warsaw Music Society

Warszawskie Towarzystwo Muzyczne imienia Stanisława Moniuszki. Concerts are held regularly in front of the house on the driveway during the summer months.
