A castle that has preserved its medieval substance: built in 1221, remodelled as a château in the 19th century. The keep, ramparts and watchtowers shape the silhouette. Beyond the massive gatehouse, the cour d'honneur opens out, flanked by a mediaeval chapel.
The main building extends over three levels. On the ground floor, a generous vaulted salon with original 17th-century ceiling receives visitors. A grand staircase leads to the first floor, where the reception rooms follow in harmonious succession: two salons with tall windows, a dining room with fireplace, and a library. The long corridor leads to the 100 m² principal suite overlooking the park.
On the second floor lies a separate flat with its own terrace above the garden and pool (12 × 6 m). Six further bedrooms and three bathrooms are distributed across this level – ample space for family or guests.
The outbuildings blend harmoniously into the ensemble: a gardener's house with its own character and an additional guest flat.
The walled park extends over 1.17 hectares and offers the seclusion that distinguishes such estates. From the terraces and towers, sweeping views open across the tranquil hills between Uzès and Avignon.
The castle is classified as a Monument Historique (1998) and protected under heritage legislation.
Located in southern France in the Département Gard, Occitanie, between Nîmes and Avignon. 15 km to Uzès, 25 km to Avignon.
