Watermill in a scenic rural location ideal for equestrian use – commission-free, non-listed
This historic three-sided property was first documented in 1318. Known as the "Glücksmühle", the estate is situated directly by the forest in a valley, a short distance from the district town of Schleiz.
The property comprises five buildings offering versatile options for use and further development. Three of the buildings feature flats on the first floor. The accommodation is complemented by storage rooms, workshops, two garages and the former engine room with an adjoining mill wheel house (including the existing waterwheel). The main building houses a well-maintained restaurant, which is currently let. Additional adjoining parcels of land can be purchased to extend the substantial grounds, making the property particularly suitable for keeping horses.
Extensive conversion and extension work was carried out from 2011 onwards. Since then, continuous maintenance and energy-efficiency improvements have been made, including the installation of an air-source heat pump in 2021.
