Dobrocin country estate (formerly "Schloss Groß Bestendorf", today "Pałac w Dobrocinie") was probably built by the Waldburg family at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. In the 1840s, it was extended and remodelled in the Neo-Renaissance style by the German estate owner Alfred Gustav Friedrich von Domhardt. The manor was expanded with side wings, tower extensions, and a coach house in the neoclassical style. Today, it consists of two storeys, with a flat risalit along the axis on both sides and a spacious veranda adjoining the garden side.

The central part inside shows the original enfilade layout and many preserved details, including original stucco ceilings from the earlier Baroque structure, wooden coffered ceilings, antique tiles and parts of the historic furnishings. The preserved special features include a fireplace from 1639 and several tiled stoves from the 19th century. The manor covers an area of approx. 2,500 m², plus attic and cellar.

In 2003, the private owner carried out renovation works, including sealing the roofs, replacing roof tiles, and installing new window frames. Extensive investments are required to make the property usable and habitable - Property investors from the UK may apply for various state subsidies!

Outbuildings:
In the castle park, a three-storey dormitory building with an area of 1,400 m² was constructed in the 1950s. The solid construction allows for the integration of the building into future usage concepts. However, it holds no heritage value and could also be demolished to restore the property's historical appearance. The estate also includes a long service building from the turn of the century.

Land:
The estate, including the castle park, spans 9 hectares, with 2 hectares of pond area. It is connected to all local utility networks. An advantage of the property is the possibility to build new structures or recreational facilities in the non-protected areas, creating new service sectors.

Location:
Dobrocin (German: "Groß Bestendorf") is a former manor village located in the Warmian-Masurian region in Ostróda County. The village is situated 8 km from the S7 (Warsaw–Gdańsk), 100 km from Gdańsk, 240 km from Warsaw, and 60 km from Olsztyn ("Allenstein").
