Castles and manor houses in Pomerania: Wisbuhr

Wisbuhr belonged to the district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania. Today the place is called Wyszebórz and lies about 10 km southeast of the city of Koszalin in the Pomeranian Lake District (Pomeranian Voivodeship).

The mansion in Wyszebórz is a representative neo-baroque building on an L-shaped ground plan from the end of the 19th century. Three towers on the northwest wing of the building are striking. In PGR times the interior was changed and adapted to the needs of the state estate administration. Preserved are historical doors with neo-baroque ornaments, coffered ceilings in simple design and a salon with Corinthian columns. Furthermore, a stone fireplace can be seen in the entrance hall.

Today, the entire estate is still visibly marked by the former state use, as the numerous existing and abandoned barracks around the castle show. In the meantime (2022), however, some of the post-war buildings have been demolished and the property partially leveled.
