This elegant palace is located in Karczew, Grodzisk County, Greater Poland Voivodeship. Originally built between 1805 and 1811 for Mikołaj Mielżyński, the palace was remodelled in 1908 by renowned architect Roger Sławski for Józef Kęszycki. The result is a neoclassical residence with Neo-Baroque elements. The main body features a hipped roof, while the side wings are topped with mansard roofs. At the centre, a prominent avant-corps is crowned with a triangular pediment and the Kęszycki family’s coat of arms. A vestibule precedes the main entrance, sheltered by an ornate glazed canopy supported by cast-iron columns. On the garden side, there is a terrace with balustrade and another pediment above.

In the north-eastern corner, a tower with a conical roof adds character to the structure. Inside, original woodwork has been preserved, including a striking main staircase leading to the first floor. A second, also original, staircase is located at the side of the building.

The property is part of a listed historic ensemble and is registered as follows:

  • Palace: Entry No. 1499/A dated 23.03.1994
  • Park: Entry No. 2557/A dated 07.09.1995

The palace offers approx. 1,350 m² of floor space and sits in a 3.72-hectare landscaped park with three ponds and a collection of monumental trees, including oaks, horse chestnuts and beeches.

Layout: high dry cellar, raised ground floor, upper floor and an attic with conversion potential.

Utilities: electricity, three-phase power, water and gas available.

The palace is in need of renovation. Initial restoration work was started a few years ago.

A truly remarkable property, ideally located near Poznań with quick access via the S5 expressway. The popular Strykowskie Lake is nearby.
