Castle "Schloss Neuenhagen" was built in 1560 by Francesco Chiaramella de Gandino, an Italian master builder who also worked in Berlin. It represents one of the oldest surviving secular buildings in eastern Brandenburg, following the tradition of Central German Renaissance architecture. The origins of the site date back to the 13th century.
