Church Durchhausen Historic View
The former church of St. Otmar stands detached on the old village square of Durchhausen, near Tuttlingen (78591). It suits a studio, gallery or live-work project, within the requirements of heritage protection.
The main hall of 130 m² and the hexagonal room of 32 m² both have a ceiling height of 5.50 m. The extension has two further rooms of 12 and 17 m². The historic roof structure spans the entire building without supports or partitions. Masonry and roof are in very good condition for their age, and the west and north sides were partly renovated in 1993. Most recently the building served as a workshop.
Behind the church lies a level plot of 700 m² with old trees and shrubs, suitable as a private garden or sculpture garden. All utility connections are on the plot. The building is listed as a cultural monument (Kulturdenkmal) in Baden-Württemberg, and grants and tax relief may be available.
