A historic abbey complex with an 18th-century chateau set within a 208-acre estate, located in the Loir Valley (Loir-et-Cher, Val de Loire), 192 kilometres from Paris and 22 kilometres from Vendôme TGV station. Founded circa 540 by King Childebert I, the site features a main residential structure (the former abbot's lodgings) dating predominantly from the 18th century.
The chateau underwent a comprehensive €3.3 million restoration in 2024–2025 covering structural masonry, timber frameworks, roofing, joinery, rewiring, plumbing, and a new biomass boiler system. The ground floor comprises a vaulted entrance hall, a 12th–13th century Gothic chapter house with ribbed vaulting and carved capitals, a large kitchen, and three reception rooms with period panelling, parquet flooring, and 18th-century marble fireplaces. The first floor accommodates seven bedroom suites, each arranged with a private entrance lobby, bedroom, and en-suite bathroom.
The adjacent 12th-century abbey church features an early 19th-century Neoclassical façade with a portico and oeil-de-boeuf window. Its interior retains Plantagenet Gothic vaulting, a rose window, and a carved Renaissance walnut door. Both the abbey church and the chapter house are listed as Monuments Historiques (registered 8 May 1939).
The 208-acre estate is free of agricultural lease and includes a contiguous 72-acre parkland intersected by a stream. Outbuildings comprise two gîtes, a visitor reception building, and a greenhouse.
