Kolvenburg Castle in Coesfeld

The Kolvenburg originated from a medieval castle complex. The name goes back to the Colve family, who owned the castle in the 14th century. Until the 17th century, the Kolvenburg was the seat of various noble families. The building was restored in the 1960s and 1970s and today serves as a cultural center of the Coesfeld district.
